The New Couch

It arrived Monday and we love it!
Of course 2 hours after we unpacked it the dogs puked on it!
Ugh! Good thing we purchased the warranty with it.
This is our old couch. We called it the "Mad Cowch" because it originally was covered in cow print fabric. We found this couch on the side of a road in the middle of a snow storm several years ago. I knocked the arms off and reupholstered it and well it worked. Nobody would sit on it though because it is really hard. So, with Thanksgiving coming and since we are hosting dinner this year we finally splurged on a new couch!
There are the little devils looking so innocent, just waiting for me to turn my back so they can destroy it. The couch is great! It has a nice retro vibe to it but still modern enough so you aren't obligated to do the whole room in a retro way.
Love it!

My new rolling pin!
Love love love it
It is glazed ceramic and works like a charm!
The first dish it was used on was chicken pot pie with a cornmeal crust.
Delicious!

Perfect dish for a cold, windy night in the Pacific NW
Accompanied by a cold Mirror Pond Ale
Yum
Couldn't resist adding a photo of Leeshnee playing with Tuffins McMuffins
They have become buddies
But Leeshnee should still watch out for the Tuffins "Wind-up Bop"

I decided to paint the stairs
Couldn't take the deathlike/battleship grey anymore!
So salmon pink it is!
Can't wait to dance my tootsies down those steps!
That is Leeshnee at the top being the "enforcer"
Tomorrow, the other side.

Halloween Overload
This is the leftover booty from last night!
The funniest part is the opening to the bottle is too small for Mikey so he has to use chopsticks to fish the candy out.

Aaahh the Take 5 candy bar
How I love thee!
If you haven't tried them yet, DO!
Perfect combination of salty peanut butter and pretzel mixed with sweet caramel and chocolate.

Couldn't resist adding a few photos of the pups
They were mummies for Halloween.
Their costumes lasted all of 2 minutes.
